August 2008

Well, after a busy July, August was a month we didn't really have to deal with. Fairly quiet and uneventful, We spent August together mostly, working and spending time with those we love. We did make it up to the Ranch one weekend to deliver about 400 pounds of dog food that Colton got from work! Being at the Ranch is always fun and we look forward to every trip we can make.

Towards the end of the month, we had 2 exciting events: We were able to go to the Mesa Temple with many, many family members from both sides, including Colton's grandpa, and it was a very exciting day. We were able to spend that weekend together with his Grandpa before he left to live in California for a while, awaiting a lung transplant.

Also, Colton was interviewed and got a job in Safford! He will be a Haul Truck Driver at the copper mine. He is very excited, he wanted this job very much and it is a wonderful blessing. He starts September 5th and we can't wait!

Unfortunately, until our lease is up, it looks like I will be staying in Chino while he begins work. But we are ready to be strong and weather the storm together!

Maybe I should send him down with a 1 month supply of Corn Flakes?

Ahhh! Separation is not fun, but I'm sure you guys will do great. We had to do the separation thing this summer for a total of 9 weeks (we saw each other a bit in between there), but I didn't like it. I hope you guys won't be too far apart.

Congrats about going through the temple! I'm so excited for you guys.

Love you!
